MORE MAORI MASTERS
The second and final (for now) batch of Maori War figures from the hand of the very talented Peter Rogerson. I asked Peter to give the figures 'character' and try and keep the essence of the existing Jacklex colonial figures in terms of style and pose. I think he has done exactly that in a wonderful way. The Maori warriors can be used for any part of the Maori wars although the main emphasis is on the campaigns of the 1860s and 70s, hence some of the European clothing. The image shows the following figures from the left:
Maori warrior kneeling firing.
Maori warrior running with separate rifle.
Maori warrior advancing.
Maori warrior attacking with battleaxe.
Maori warrior attacking with axe and rifle.
Maori warrior standing firing.
Maori chief
New Zealand constable.
Forest Ranger/Militia officer with telescope.
Cavalry Volunteer trooper mounted.
The casting moulds are being made now, so I hope to have these up on the site later this month.
